VerifiedSum was founded in 2014 after our founder, Sarah Mitchell, spent years watching small businesses suffer from sloppy, inconsistent bookkeeping — missed deductions, surprise tax bills, and financial statements no one could trust.
She built VerifiedSum around a different standard: every account reconciled to the penny, every report reviewed twice, and every client treated like our only client. What started as a two-person practice in New York has grown into a nationwide team serving 500+ businesses across retail, professional services, healthcare, construction, and technology.
